We had a great fun-filled weekend for Father's Day! I absolutely love this picture of my two loves :). We spent the day surprising DH's Dad by going to church, then we came back to town and had a classy picnic. We had Casey's pizza at the shelter house in the park.
Our meal also consisted of free breadsticks & some apple juice from home. Our picnic basket was a plastic bag from HyVee. Hey, you don't have to be all fancy in order to have a good time! Macyn enjoyed the picnic and ate almost all the meatballs off our pizza. So needless to say, I wound up with mostly cheese pizza in the end.
We finished the day off with a round of golf in my hometown. Instead of getting DH a gift this year for Father's Day, we decided to take a day off together and do whatever we wanted. We ended up golfing, fishing, shopping, and going out to eat. It was nice to spend a day with just each other and have a good time. We may do things like this in the future instead of getting each other gifts. Sometimes its more fun to just kick back and relax!
