6 Year Anniversary

We celebrated our six year anniversary this year by going out to eat. It may not sound like much, but after all we have been through the past month we would have been exhausted to do much more than that! It was a nice night out and upon our return home Macyn wanted me to put on my wedding dress. Since I am pretty sure it wouldn't fit, we let her "try" it on!

5 Years Later...

We celebrated our five year anniversary! Hard to believe it has been that long already. We decided to put on our wedding outfits and take some anniversary photos. I was in shock that my wedding dress still fit after a kid, considering I tried putting it on for our one year anniversary and it didn't fit! I guess all this dieting and working out is starting to pay off :)

Here are a few other pictures too. Macyn wanted to put on a "pretty dress" and some "cinderella shoes like mom." We let her join our pictures and she felt pretty special!

Anniversary Date

DH and I planned a getaway for our 5 year anniversary. We used a groupon and went 18 holes worth of golf. I survived all 18, but unfortunately 8 of my golf balls didn't. Every hole had water except for 3 of them, so that isn't too bad I guess?

After that we did a little shopping and checked into our hotel - a whirpool suite. Let me tell you, I was super sore after golfing that much and I definitely needed that! We then went out for the night and hit up downtown, Minervas, and the falls. We couldn't forget about dessert! We stopped at Coldstone and picked up a brownie sundae and brought it back to our hotel. Good thing, because it was soooo good we wanted another!

After staying over night, we got up and did some more shopping the next day. We ate at Applebees for lunch using a gift card and then headed to SCity to see my grandpa. It was a nice weekend to getaway!

4th Anniversary

 

It's hard to believe we have been married four years already! It seems like forever, since we have been dating since I was 16 years old. But we are still young love birds at heart, and that's all that matters. We have this anniversary book where we write down what we do each year on our anniversary along with a picture. The first year we had a weekend at Omaha. The 2nd year it was a trip to Minneapolis. The 3rd year we went to Colorado. Guess where we went this year? WalMart. My how times change once kids come into the picture. But you know what? We don't need to go on a trip in order to be happy. Just spending time with each other is good enough for me. And our date night to Walmart was a GREAT date in my opinion! We also went and ate at The Ridge and had some yummy food. It's not very often we get date night, so when we do, it's always pretty special. I had given Josh his present before I went to Chicago. I got him some Dr. Dre Beats headphones. He liked them a lot. They were a little spendy, but I used the rest of the money in our iMac fund to pay for them. Macyn also showed us her fashionista side with the coture bow on her face.

 

DH brought me to WalMart after our meal and let me pick out some more flowers. I like to joke around with him and ask him what he would get me if God didn't make flowers :)  Here are the ones I picked out.

And a bird feeder! I thought it would be nice to hang in our tree so Macyn will be able to watch birds more often. I have already seen different types. Bird watching really isn't all that bad.

We had a great anniversary. I love you, DH! I'm glad you married me! :)
