Since it was a such a nice day on Mother's Day (after the storms) we decided to hit up the local zoo. Its a pretty small zoo, so we thought it would be perfect for our first time going with Macyn. It didn't start out too well considering it was 1:45 and she still hadn't napped yet. She was dead tired and kinda non-chalant about the animals.

She only stayed in her stroller for a short while. She wouldn't walk and only wanted to be carried. So here we are, lugging her around in the hot sun at the zoo because she won't stay in her stroller. As we were walking along, we got to see some cute baby animals too!

There was also a baby goat. Even though Macyn says, "goat," loud and clear, she was very afraid of mama goat. She put her feet on the fence and scared Macyn quite a bit. Needless to say we were quite sad she doesn't like the animal to which she can name so well. Shortly there after, we put her back in her stroller and it didn't take her long to fall asleep.
We then looked around the gift shop for a little while and left the zoo. We were quite disappointed we didn't see any giraffes or cheetahs. It wasn't until we looked at the map to realize we took a wrong turn and missed part of the zoo! Bummer! There weren't many animals out anyways, and the ones that were are usually sleeping. It was a good time though, but a little disappointing. I think if Macyn would have been fully rested it would have been more fun. We are definitely going to take her back some day when she can enjoy the animals more!
