It's Wedding Time!

My sister finally tied the knot and we had a weekend full of wedding fun! I was a bridesmaid, Macyn was the flower girl, and DH was an usher. As always, I end up taking alot of pictures, so I am usually not in a lot either. I got a few good ones, but never really got the twins..... anyways, it was a wonderful day and a beautiful wedding. I was honored to be a part of it!

Country Weddin'

Cousin Kayla is getting married! We decided to make the 5 hour trek to Mount Ayr , and make a vacation out of it. Macyn traveled pretty well (except when she was mad and spilled chocolate milk all over herself). We only made 2 stops in 5 hours, which is good considering this was our first long trip with her being completely potty trained. We arrived in town about 1 hour before the wedding, so we quickly got ready and headed out. It was extremely hot – 102º heat index. Fortunately, the wedding was short and sweet and we could head to some air conditioning. 

The wedding was held at Ramsey farms, in front of a pond. It was a country theme, as the bride and bridesmaids wore cowboy boots. They also served pie instead of cake, and it was a great time! It was fun to go to a non-traditional wedding for a change. Macyn kept calling Kayla, "princess Kayla." Macyn danced the night away and crashed once we got back to the hotel. We somehow ended up with 3 queen beds, and Macyn had to try out each one before cuddling in for the night next to me.

5 Years Later...

We celebrated our five year anniversary! Hard to believe it has been that long already. We decided to put on our wedding outfits and take some anniversary photos. I was in shock that my wedding dress still fit after a kid, considering I tried putting it on for our one year anniversary and it didn't fit! I guess all this dieting and working out is starting to pay off :)

Here are a few other pictures too. Macyn wanted to put on a "pretty dress" and some "cinderella shoes like mom." We let her join our pictures and she felt pretty special!

Bridal Shower

I am honored to be part of my friend, Amber's, wedding and I had a fun filled day full of wedding activities! First was the shower, where I got to participate in the "dress your bridesmaid" game. They had to create some bridal attire out of crepe paper. People told me I looked good in green. I'm pretty sure I would have won, but I had a little of a wardrobe malfunction which ruined my chances. Oh well, it was still fun!

After the shower I had my bridesmaid dress altered and got ready for a cowgirl bachelorette party! I don't own a lot of plaid, but I did find a cute plaid tank top with some flowy floral accents. I love the combination of different prints! We took the Shenanigans shuttle and enjoyed some bubbly on the way  to Bracco. I got the fish and chips meal and their fish was delicious! I also bought a cherry limeade martini that was super yummy. Unfortuately, I didn't stay out all night. I was having a great time, but I knew I had other responsibilites besides partying all night. So I rode back earlier with the bride's mom. I had a great time with the bride and bridesmaids and can't wait for the wedding in a few weeks!
