If you Ain't Dutch, you Ain't Much

It was such a nice day out today so after church we decided to take some pictures. We were more grateful that she was still able to wear the same clothes she wore to church (the past 2 times we went we had some butt explosion problems during the sermon). So since we have this random tulip coming up in the front yard we took some pictures. (This tulip has never came up before in the 2 1/2 years we have lived in our house.) Since Macyn is Dutch - 9/16ths Dutch to be exact, we thought these tulip pictures would be fitting. We would have taken more but the camera battery died.

Maybe we will have to hit up the Tulip Festival this year. I have lived here my whole life and have never attended - I guess that means "I Ain't Much because I'm really not that Much Dutch."

A Walk to the Park

It was such a nice day out so DH, Buddy, Macyn, and myself decided to go for a family walk to the park. We weren't sure if the swing would be too big, but it fit Macyn perfectly. She enjoyed it and laughed almost the whole time! It was so much fun!Since swinging was such a success, we decided to try the slides. She wasn't so sure about those, but smiled here and there. I think we were more scared we were going to break the things since they aren't exactly made for 20-something parents. After the slides we decided it was time to walk back home. This is what she looked like when we left the park, and what she looked like when we got home. (I think she had fun)!

How to Get Work Done

Since DH spent all day Saturday mowing the lawn (since some spots were over 12" tall!) I was left to watch Macyn and attempt to get my work done. She took a whole 15 minute nap, played in her Jumperoo for about 20 minutes and then just wanted to be held or have attention. It was hard for me to keep an eye on her while I am trying to sort laundry, clean, and taking clothes out of the washer & into the dryer, and being able to hang them up, fold, and put away. So what was my solution? Grab the umbrella stroller, get peanut a Mum Mum cracker, and ta-da! Easy way to get work done. She likes being pushed around, I am near her, and I get my work done. Win/win for everyone! - I knew those hardwood floors would come in handy someday....never thought it would be for stroller rides!

mmmmm....new foods!

I thought it would be fun to take a picture of Macyn's first bites of new foods we have tried. There isn't anything she doesn't like yet. The initial reactions are classic - see for yourself!
.....to be continued.

Enchilada Pizza

I get random magazines from the library and found this super easy and quick recipe that is absolutely delicious! All you do is get some pizza dough in the tube and roll it out on a pan. Top with enchilada sauce, cooked chicken, shredded cheese, chili beans, and green chilis (or jalepenos of you like it spicier) and then you bake it for 12-15 minutes. Finished! You could always make it as hot or as bland as you want by using hot enchilada sauce and hot chili beans. I like mine a little milder so I stick with regular sauce and beans. It also tastes good to add sour cream and whatever else you want!

A Prom Filled Weekend

I went to see aunt Brooke at prom and we took some cute pics!
And one with Austin too...And one with Mom....
AND some with my future vehicle....a Hummer. I tried driving but my feet couldn't reach the pedals and I couldn't see over the steering wheel. So I decided to just hang out in the back seat instead

6 Month Photos

Macyn had gotten her 6 month pictures taken at Hills. Like always, there are always photos I have fallen in love with. These are just a few of my favorites. I made her tutu and bow, and her shirt was from a rummage sale! All photos are posted on the Hills website. If you want to know the password, just ask me....or if you knew the password from her baby photos, its the same one. Enjoy!
