Our big girl is over 1 1/2 now! It's amazing how time flies. She is her own little person and has a mind of her own. She has learned some new not-so-fun skills of opening up doors. We now have child proofed most closets and other rooms she shouldn't be in. Except for the basement. We tell her to, "Go let out Buddy," and she proceeds to open the basement door, go down the stairs, and open the dog kennel. She enjoys playing with Buddy, laughing at him, and playing fetch with him. I guess this is a sign we have to keep the dog after all....
She enjoys dressing herself as well. The reason she doesn't have pants on this picture is because she didn't want to wear them. The only pants she wanted to wear were her Minnie pajama pants. So we gave in:
Besides dressing herself, she enjoys climbing in general. She was climbing in and out of these totes and saying, "bye!" and then would tuck down inside.
Besides saying, "bye," consistently now, she says "coco (for chocolate), no mine, and woof woof" when you ask her what a dog says, and others in addition to her words last month. It's fun riding home from daycare with her because I ask her what her day is like and she responds by saying "yah, yah!"
Her hair is also continuing to grow, except not the top. She has already had two haircuts to get rid of her mullet look. I attempted to put pig tails in her hair the other day, after she came home from daycare with a pony tail in. Not too shabby, but she definitely needs more hair on top :)
She LOVES to go to the park. We have been biking there a few times this past week with her in the bike trailer. She likes the trailer, not so much her helmet. Thank goodness for bike trails! Here are some shots of her at the park the other day.
After we go to the park she likes to go home and have her new favorite snack - a Mr. Freeze. The only problem is, you can tell when she gets a brain freeze. She makes some squinty eyes and holds her head. It's pretty funny. All in all we have so much fun with her and we can't wait to be able to go outside more once summer is officially here!

hahaha, toddler brain freeze.
We gave Ian ice cream for the first time last week. He loved it, but would do a full-body shiver every couple of bites. haha
